Workshop Overview

The Trauma Intensive investigates the origins of adult dysfunctional behavior and how it prevents you from having healthy relationships. This workshop is both an educational and a participatory process.We will explore the negative and positive events of your childhood that have shaped you and also caused problems. For example:
  • Do you find that you keep having the same arguments over and over again with loved ones? 
  • Do you have low self-esteem that prevents you from feeling good about yourself? 
  • Do you find yourself acting in unhealthy ways, which do not serve you? 
  • Are you stuck in unhealthy and limiting relationships with others?

Ongoing Recovery and Empowerment Strategies

You will receive a set of strategies, tools and resources to make permanent these empowering principles in your daily life.  These materials will help you build upon work that you are doing in therapy.

Workshop Schedule

Day 1 - You will begin to understand your family constellation and your role in it. We will also examine events in childhood that have had an impact on you
Day 2 and 3 will be experiential. You will work with a trained therapist to reconnect with your childhood experiences. Participants describe this process as significant in their healing and coming to terms with their past. At the end, you will be able to reclaim a healthy relationship with yourself and others.
Ongoing Recovery and Empowerment Strategies – You will receive a set of strategies, tools and resources to make permanent these empowering principles in your daily life.
These materials will help you build upon work that you are doing in therapy.

Your Facilitator

Sarah Doebler, LICSW, Ed.M, MSW, CSAT  Ms. Doebler is a clinical social worker in private practice in Duxbury, MA. Her work with adults covers a wide variety of issues, from chronic mental health issues, trauma, as well as working with couples to solve their relationship problems. In addition to the Trauma Intensive, Sarah practices EMDR trauma therapy, and attachment based couples therapy.
